Abstract
Endometriosis is an enigmatic disease, defined as the presence of endometrial-like tissues outside the endometrial lining of the uterus. It is an estrogen-dependent disease, but the fundamental cause is still unknown. It is associated with abdominal and pelvic pain as well as with infertility. In this chapter only the aspects of pain will be discussed.
