Abstract
This paper describes a new super wide band monopoly antenna for THz applications.. It has a Super-Wideband performance (3-16 THz) and up which present a fractional bandwidth greater than 135%. it has 2:1 VSWR with 10 dBi peak realized gain and flat group delay. These results satisfy the frequency and time-domain characteristics of the antenna. The radiator and antenna ground plan is based on quadratic Bezier outlines, which can be optimized with few controls’ points. The proposed antenna is designed on Rogers RT5880 substrate (εr=2.2) with a very compact size (42×32×1.6 µm 3). Therefore, this antenna can be used in THz wireless communication systems. such as T-WPAN, T-WBAN and T-WLAN. It can be employed as an elementary antenna in MIMO systems.
