Clinical analysis on 152 cases of endometriosis

Abstract

Objectives: To study the clinical curative effect of surgery therapy on endometriosis and infertile patients.Methods: A retrospective study was made on the clinical data of one hundred and fifty two patients with endometriosis treated in our hospital from Jan.2009 to Jan.2011.The patients with dysmenorrhea and infertility were surveyed by telephone follow-up.Results: Of the 152 patients,79 cases(52.0%) were diagnosed with dysmenorrhea,19 cases(12.5%) with infertility,25 cases(16.4%) with both dysmenorrhea and infertility;62 cases(40.8%) were treated with conservative surgery,90 cases(59.2%) with radical surgery;69 cases(45.4%)with open surgery,83cases(54.6%)with laparoscopic surgery;101 out of 123 cases(82.1%) were successfully followed up;The total pain-relief rate of the patients with endometriosis were 81.7%(85/104),the recurrence rate 22.3%(17/85),the pregnancy rate 66.0%(29/44).Conclusions: The surgery therapy can significantly relieve the symptoms of dysmenorrheal,produce low recurrence rate,and increase the pregnancy rate.
