Abstract

Two cases of endometriosis of urinary bladder were pres e nted. Case 1. A 41 year old married female was admitt e d to our hospital complaining of some pain on urination. These symptoms, which had had begun 4 years before when she underwent artificial abortion, were intermittent and more severe during menstruation. Cystoscopic examination revealed a small finger tip sized tumor located at the trigone. At operation, a continuity of the infiltration with uterus was demonstrated, so that segmental resection of the bladder with simple total hysterectomy was performed. Histological examination added to the establishment of the definite diagnosis of this condition. Case 2. A 50 year old married woman, who had had no menst r u ation since 2 years, entered our hospital with chief complains of meatalpain, pollakisuria and some pain on urination. Cystoscopic examination revealed a thumb tip sizd tumor located at the posterior bladder wall. A diagnosis of bladder tumor was made and operation was performed. The bladder wall was densely adherent to the left tube and uterus. Segmental resection of the bladder with simple total hysterectomy was performed. The histological examination of the bladder tumor showed cystoadenoma, being considered to be endometriosis in origin.
