Abstract
Objective:To investigate endometriosis (EMS) about prevalent distribution from 1997 to 2001 in Huaxi Hospital.Methods:Checking up all cases of EMS.Results:A total of EMS patients were diagnosed and treated in the hospital during the past 5 years,occupying 11.4% of all patients in gynecological ward.The number of the patients was increasing.There were more patients with endometriosis stage Ⅰ or Ⅱ and less with stage Ⅲ or Ⅳ than before(P0.01).The trend of taking laparoscopic treatment preserving function and fertility was still going upwards(p0.01).In the patients 77.17% received laparatomy,and 18.24% received laparascopic treatment.Conclusions:The number of patieuts having EMS was increasing during recent 5 years,especially those having stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ endometriosis,because of the use of laparoscopy.Surgery was also the most important way to treat EMS.Treatment preserving function and fertility becaue more because the stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ tumor becaue more fregnent.
