Abstract

Objective:To study the expression of TGF-β1 in human endometriosis and endometrial carcinoma and to explore the correlation between the expression and pathogenesis of human endometriosis and their biological behavior. Methods:Immunohistochemical SP method was employed to detect the expression of TGF-β1 in 10 specimens of ectopic endometrium and eutopic endometrium of endometriosis,10 specimens of endometrial carcinoma and 10 specimens of normal endometrium. Results:The expression of TGF-β1 in ectopic endometrium of endometriosis were significantly higher than those of eutopic endometrium and normal endometrium(P0.05、P0.05),and the expression of TGF-β1 in endometrial carcinoma were significantly higher than those of normal endometrium(P0.05).There was no significant difference between the expression of TGF-β1 in ectopic endometrium of human endometriosis and endometrial carcinoma(P0.05).Conclusion:The abnormal expression of TGF-β1 might be correlation with the pathogenesis of human endometriosis and the similar biological behavior between human endometriosis and endometrial carcinoma.
