The calculating formulae of the critical BHF in the flange area are derived by using the energy method and a wrinkle model parameter m effect on the critical BHF by is analyzed. It's shown that the critical BHF decreases with decreasing m as the same wrinkle height. Steel sheet of SPCC grade, thickness of 0.6 mm was used in the finite element simulation study. It's shown that the segmental blank holder technique is better than the conventional one.
