Abstract

Abstract The present study examines the efficiency of the healthcare system in Turkey by focusing on one hospital situated in Ankara. TOPSIS-DEA methodology was adopted for this purpose to determine and compare the efficiency of hospital units while assigning different weights to individual types of data and relying on q-rung TOPSIS to handle uncertainty. The outcome is a set of rankings assigned to individual hospital units, thus informing the decision-makers of the strategies that should be adopted to improve hospital functioning.
