Abstract

The fundamental purpose of the study is to expand coverage, i.e., permit better transmission, by implementing IRS beneath micro cellular transmissions via a two-tier 6G framework consisting of one micro cellular layer operating beneath the macro cellular-based layer. As a consequence, the study used simulation-based measuring methodologies to assess and compare the functioning of standard micro-cellular connections to IRS-enhanced micro-cellular networks in terms of throughput of uplink. The study found that implementing IRS significantly enhances coverage, or transmission effectiveness, for 6G services.
