Abstract
An analysis of the judicial statistics of the states included in the BRIX showed that citizens can be waiting for more than a year for their case to be considered by the court, which is significantly loaded with appeals to it. Factors of external influence on the judicial system, including the development of information and communication technologies, the COVID-19 pandemic, the need of citizens for fast and affordable justice, prompted the courts to implement remote forms of interaction with interested persons, to introduce diverse online formats in judicial activities. All this was the basis for improving the historically established organizational and legal model of justice. In search of an effective model of justice of the XXI century, the experience of Brazil, India, China, Russia and South Africa on the organization of online justice, as well as ways of alternative dispute resolution in electronic format with the participation or under the control of the court was studied. The applied comparative legal method allowed not only to identify the best judicial practices in the field of using online formats in judicial activity, but also to identify trends in the development of judicial systems that allow the BRICS countries to integrate on the basis of common approaches. The paper formulates a new spatial-temporal representation of the judicial system and justice, of certain basic judicial institutions, such as access to court and jurisdiction. The paper substantiates the platform model of building the judicial system, reveals the essential characteristics of judicial digital platforms. The author substantiates the conclusion that the platformization of legal proceedings leads to the creation of digital courts.
