Abstract
Abstract The principal application of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is to perform sensing and tracking in the scenarios where continuous monitoring is required. At the same time tiny sensor node consumes energy in performing these tasks resulting in reduced performance of WSN due to signal loss and packet transmission. Many techniques were developed to overcome the issues of high energy consumption nodes but still have a problem identifying cluster heads since packet loss and signal transmission occurs during transmission. . This paper integrates a metaheuristic optimization algorithm to improve the performance of WSN. The metaheuristic African Buffalo-based Energy Optimized LEACH Protocol (MABEOLP) is designed to enhance communication performance in WSN. The proposed scheme recognize the less energy and high energy consumption nodes at an earlier stage of the energy-aware phase and the high energy consumption nodes are neglected .At the same time a temporary route is developed to avoid sudden signal failure and packet drop. The optimized model is implemented in Matlab ,it is tested for maximum of 125 nodes and later the performance parameters energy consumption, delay, throughput, packet transmission rate, and packet loss are compare with the existing methods.
