Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship among the biological activity in patients with uterine adenomyosis and these blood level of E, P, ER, PR as well as the blood flow index in the myometrial lesions. Methods One hundred and eight patients women (pathologically confirmed after operation) were included in this study. The levels of E, P, ER, PR of forty two women were assessed with immunohistochemical and radioimmunity methods, and the blood flow index in the myometrial lesions of eighty six patients was measured by color Doppler ultrasonography. Results The mean E level was 960 pmol/L in severe dysmenorrhea group, with a ratio of ER≥(++) being 88.4%, and the mean PI being 1.40, all were significantly higher than those of the mild dysmenorrhea group. The incidence of endometrial hyperplasia and uterine size beyond six gestational weeks in the menorrhagia group was 91.7%, significantly higher than the normal menstruation group( P 0.05).Conclusion The biological activity of adenomyosis is related to the E, P, ER, PR levels, PI in myometrial lesion and endometrial hyperplasia.
