Simultaneous determination for 12 kinds of heavy metal elements in high salt foods by solid phase extraction-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry

Abstract

In this paper,the method of solid phase extraction-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry was established for the determination of 12 kinds of heavy metal elements, including Alum(V), manganese(Mn), iron(Fe), cobalt(Co), nickel(Ni), copper(Cu), zinc(Zn), gallium(Ga), cadmium(Cd), tin(Sn), lead(Pb) and uranium(U) in high-salt foods. After the sample was digested by microwave and acid drived out, the pH value of digestion solution was adjusted with 1.0 mol/L ammonium acetate buffer solution.The interfering salts of Na and K were removed but the heavy metal elements were adsorbed on the extraction column filled with resin.Then the 12 kinds of heavy metal elements were eluted by 2 mol/L nitric acid and enter the ICP-MS for measurement. The method established in this study can reduce the interference of salt on the detection. It has accurate quantification and good repeatability and it is suitable for the determination of 12 kinds of heavy metal elements in high-salt foods.
