Epidemiological and public health aspects of oral contraceptives and thromboembolic disease 1
OA: closed
Abstract
The evidence relating oestrogen-progestogen oral contraceptives to venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and cerebral thrombosis is reviewed. The risks associated with the use of oral contraceptives are then discussed in relation to the risks associated with the use of less effective methods of birth control.
