Preliminary study of vinculin expression in endometriosis

Objective To study the different expressions of vinculin among normal endometrial,eutopic and ectopic endometria of patients with endometriosis.Methods The expression differences among three normal proliferate-stage endometria,three proliferate-stage eutopic and ectopic medometria of patients with endometriosis were examined by immunohistochemistry and Western blot.Results Vinculin was located in both the ectoplasm and cytoplasm.The expression level of vinculin in ectopic endometrial of patients with endometriosis was stronger than those in eutopic endometria of patients with endometriosis and normal endometrial(P0.05),while the difference between eutopic endometria of patients with endometriosis and normal endometria was not significant(P0.05).Conclusion Vinculin may play an important role in the pathogenesis of endometriosis.
