Abstract
The report is dedicated to the social and humanitarian cooperation of Russia and Germany. It is noted that educational and scientific exchange remains priority areas that were less affected by the sanctions. Academic exchanges and scientific collaboration play a compensatory role against the background of growing tension in political relations in Russia and EU. At the same time, the educational and scientific sphere is closely related to culture, which Russia is mobilizing to reduce tensions in bilateral relationship.
