Transvaginal Sonography in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Ovarian Endometriosis and Adenomyosis

Objective To evaluate the transvaginal sonography in the diagonasis and therapy of ovarian endometriosis and adenomyosis.Methods An image of 218 patients with endometriosis and adenomyosis were retrospectively analyzed.All patients were examined transvaginal sonography and serum CA125 mesurement.Some of the patients underwent ovarian cyst penetration with assistance of transvaginal sonography.Results The accurate rates of diagonasis with transvaginal sonography for ovay endometriosis cyst,adenomyosis and ovarian endometriosis cyst complicated by adenomyosis were 94.9%,96.8% and 92.8%.Conclusion Transvaginal sonography can be the first choise to diagnose ovarian endometriosis and adenomyosis.
