A Comparative Study of the Transvaginal Operation and Laparoscopy Operation Treating the Ovarian Cyst

Objective To explore the practical application value of laparoscopic operation and transvaginal operation treating the ovarian cyst.Methods A retrospective study was made for 127 patients with ovarian cysts operated from Mar.2004 to Feb.2005,transvaginal cystectomy was performed in 43 cases and 84 cases by laparoscopy,the clinical data of those patients were compared in detail.Results There was no significant difference in the two groups in the amount of bleeding during the operation,the highest temperature of 24 hours after operation,and the time of bowel function recovery(P0.05).The time of laparoscopic operation increased.Hydatid fluid can not enter abdominal cavity which can lead to chemical peritonitis and tumor cells implantation by transvaginal cystectomy.Laparoscopic operation is good for pelvic cavity detection and suitable to unmarried women.Conclusion Laparoscopic operation and transvaginal operation have their advantages and disadvantages separately,both can be performed widely in different patients.
