The effects of ChatGPT-assisted art creation are examined from three perspectives. The results show that ChatGPT excels in formal beauty and technical skills, but its effectiveness in fostering innovation and content depth remains limited. In visual art creation, ChatGPT can enhance creative efficiency, increase autonomous output by a factor of two, and facilitate the expansion of creative scope and cross-disciplinary collaboration. However, the use of GPT in art creation also necessitates caution to mitigate potential negative impacts, including gender bias, copyright concerns, and a reduction in the depth of artistic expression. This study underscores the significant role of ChatGPT in providing creative support and automating generation within the realm of artistic creation.
