Abstract

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of Blood- Cleaning Decoction combined with oral contraceptive drugs as a treatment of endometriosis. Methods: It was a retrospective analysis of 50 patients with endometriosis. Patients were divided into two groups according to the different treatment methods: Blood- Cleaning Decoction combined with oral contraceptive drug group( combination group) and the oral contraceptive drug group( monotherapy group). The endometriosis symptoms, blood pressure and biochemical parameters and side reactions of drugs were analyzed before and after treatment. Results: The two groups were greatly improved in dysmenorrhea, chronic pelvic pain, dyspareunia and menstrual abnormalities, and the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). Between the two groups, the combination group had lower incidence and extent of dysmenorrhea and the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05),but in patients with chronic pelvic pain, dyspareunia and menstrual abnormalities had no difference( P 0. 05). The CA125 of two groups was significantly decreased, and it fell more in combination group, and the difference was significant( P 0. 05). Between the two groups, the blood pressure,TC,TG and LDL- c in combination group were elevated more than those of monotherapy group,HDL- c,HDL / TC,HDL / TG and HDL / LDL in combination group were lower than those of monotherapy group, and the difference was significant( P 0. 05). Nausea, mood changes and breast abnormalities in combination group were significantly higher than those of the single drug group, and the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). Ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids had no difference between two groups( P 0. 05). Conclusion: Blood- Cleaning Decoction combined with oral contraceptive drugs is more effective in relieving clinical symptoms of endometriosis, improving patients' blood pressure and biochemical parameters, and has a better performance in side reactions than the monotherapy group.
