The Value of Blood Serum CA125 in Determining Endometriosis

Objective To probe into the value of blood serum CA125 in determining endometriosis and monitor the effect of operation and medicine.Methods The CA125 of 267 patients are determined and they are divided into the endometriosis cases group and the control group.116 patients who get endometriosis are included in the first group while the control group includes 68 patients who get hysteromyoma,37 patients who get embryoma of the ovary and 46 women who are in child-bearing age.The cases group is divided into operational group that includes 86 patients and medical group that includes 27 patients.Results ①The positive rate of the cases group is 76.5%,and the positive rates of I～Ⅱstage,Ⅲ stage and Ⅳ stage are respectively 60.6% 、82.9% and(86.0%).The positive rate of the control group is 12.4%.So the positive rates of the two groups are significantly different(P0.01);② Before and after operation,the positive rates of the operational group are respectively 78.3% and 24.3%.So the two rates are significantly different(P0.01);Before and after medication,the positive rates of the medical group are respectively 69.6% and 29.7%.So the two rates are significantly different(P0.01).Conclusion Blood serum CA125 places an important role in determining endometriosis and also it can be used to monitor the effect of operation and medicine.
