Abstract

Objective:To study the effects of integrative medicine on the treatment of endometriosis post-operation.Methods:A total of 120 patients from September 2007 to February 2009 who had surgeries on endometriosis were randomly divided into 2 groups:treatment group(62 patients) and control group(58 patients).Patients in the treatment group were given intramuscular injection of Diphereline every 28 days for consecutive 3 times and orally took women's Dan'e Fukang Jiangao for 6 months at the same time, while in the control group patients were injected with Diphereline alone every 28 days for 6 times.Postoperative pain relief, recurrence rate, pregnancy rate, medication side effects, and treatment costs were compared between the 2 groups.Results:Follow-up rate was 98.3%(118/120).Pain relief(96.7% vs 96.6%),recurrence rate(1.67% vs 1.72%) and pregnancy rate(58.3% vs 55.6%) were not differ between the groups(P0.05),while the drug's side effects and cost of treatment were dramatically fewer and less in the treatment group(P0.05).Conclusion:Integrated medicine therapy with Dan'e Fukang Jiangao is effective and safe with less pay as a supplement to endometriosis laparoscopic surgery.
