Abstract

Endometriosis is a common disease of women of childbearing age.It is characterized by appearance, growth, infiltration and repeated bleedine of endometrium in any sites out of uterine cavity. Its main clinical manifestations include lower abdominal pain(hypogastralgia),dysmenorrhea and pelvic mass, menstrual disorder and infertility.A large number of women are plagued by their aggressive growth and recurrent onset.Although many hypotheses have been proposed, exact etiology of the disease remains unclear yet now.In recent years, many studies have shown that survival, growth and causing lesions and symptoms of ectopic endometria are through such three steps as adhesion, invasion and angiogenesis. When the exfoliated endometria enter to the abdominal cavity, they directly contact with peritoneal fluid and angiogenesis-associated factors in it lead ectopic endometria to adhere to the peritoneum and other organs and new blood vessels are formed, leading implantation success and further development of them.
