Effect of Uterine Artery Embolization Used in Treatment of Leiomyoma and Adenomyosis on Ovarian Function

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the uterine artery embolization(UAE) for treatment of uterine leiomyoma and adenomyosis in patients with ovarian function of the ring shadow,the requirements for maternity patients and provide a theoretical basis UAE. Methods 21~45 years old,previous menstrual cycle is due to uterine leiomyoma and adenomyosis line 37 cases of women in UAE. Monitoring in the embolization treatment before 3 months after embolization and 6 months to assess all the patient's symptoms to improve the situation,and the use of energy by transvaginal color Doppler and uterine lesions on dynamic monitoring,the monitoring period,uterine size,uterine artery and ovarian artery blood flow dynamic changes and levels of sex hormones. Results ①both before and after uterine artery embolization for uterine volume and uterine artery blood flow parameters,preoperative and postoperative 3 months,6 months after operation the difference was statistically significant(P0.05);② both before and after uterine artery embolization of ovarian arteries blood flow,blood hormone(FSH,LH,E2) and the menstrual cycle,compared to the situation there was no significant difference(P0.05) . Conclusion UAE is a safe treatment and will not cause permanent amenorrhea of ovarian endocrine function and ovulation of ovarian function is a short,mild,reversible.
