Abstract
We present a genome assembly from an individual female cranefly, Tipula helvola (Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Tipulidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 1,204.70 megabases. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 4 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 17.48 kilobases in length.
