Abstract

The mRNA levels in endometriotic tissue samples obtained from patients with adenomyosis (n = 23) and chocolate cysts (n = 24) were quantified using reverse transcription and quantitative real-time PCR. The transcriptional levels (ΔCt of gene levels/β2-microglobulin) of (A)OCT4, or (B) migration-related genes of SNAIL, SLUG, or TWIST, were compared with those of TGF-β RI, and (C) The transcriptional levels (ΔCt of gene levels/β2-microglobulin) of SNAIL, SLUG, or TWIST were compared with those of OCT4, using the Pearson correlation analysis to determine the statistical correlations.
