Performance Properties of Epoxy Resin Modified with Few‐Layer Graphene Obtained by the Method of Self‐Propagating High‐Temperature Synthesis

Abstract

This paper provides the study results of influence of few-layer graphene obtained by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis from various biopolymers on the strength, thermophysical, and tribological properties of epoxy resin. The initial biopolymer's effect on synthesized few-layer graphene's structure is shown. In the studied composites, an increase in the glass transition temperature, thermal conductivity, and compressive strength is observed. The wear resistance of composites five times increase compared to the neat epoxy resin was also found due to a decrease in the coefficient of friction.
