Abstract

PCT No. PCT/DE92/00427 Sec. 371 Date May 4, 1994 Sec. 102(e) Date May 4, 1994 PCT Filed May 22, 1992 PCT Pub. No. WO92/20711 PCT Pub. Date Nov. 26, 1992.The invention concerns LHRH antagonists of the general formula (I), X-X1-X2-X3-L-Ser-L-Tyr-X6-L-Leu-X8-L-Pro-X10 (I) The invention concerns LHRH antagonists of the general formula (I), in which X is an acyl group, X1 is a D-Nal, X2 is D-(4-Cl)-Phe, X3 is D-(3)-Pal, X6 is D-Cit or D-Neu, X8 is L-Arg or L-Neu, at least one of the groups X6 and X8 being a Neu, and X10 is D-Ala-NH2, Neu being a group of formula (II), (IV), (IX) or (X), wherein W is one of the group (a)-(d). The invention includes drugs containing a compound of formula (I), plus the usual auxiliaries and carriers. These drugs are suitable for use in cases of carcinoma of the prostate and in endometriosis, as well as for fertility control.
