Design and Analysis Performance of Compact Coronavirus ̶ Shaped Microstrip Patch Antenna for Wireless- Applications
preprint
OA: closed
Abstract
A compact size of coronavirus shaped micro-strip patch antenna is proposed for wireless communication. The band of frequencies (15-20 GHz) is employed to analysis the effect of shape design on pattern form and their characteristics. A low-cost FR4 dielectric substrate is used to print a copper patch corona antenna with suitable dimensions. A proposed antenna has six form of patterns depending on using band of frequencies to find differences between them in shapes and characteristics. In this paper, pattern characteristics of antenna are analyzed. These results showed that the realized gain is better than ̶ 15 dB when using frequencies over or less than 17 GHz, and total efficiency over and less than (70%). CST microwave software is used for designing and analyzing.
