Abstract

Objective:To study the relationship between serum tumor specific growth factor(TSGF)level and tumor angiogen- sis, invasion, metastasis in endometrium carcinoma. Methods:We collected the blood of the patients with carcinoma of endome trium, and examined the level of TSGF,vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2)and matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9).then compared with hysteromyoma patients and healthy controls. Results:Statistical sig nificance of the levels of TSGF VEGF,MMP-2 and MMP-9 were found when endometrium cancer group was compared with control group(P0.05).Compared with the patients ofhysteromyoma, the levels of TSGF,MMP-2 and MMP-9 were great- ly higher(P0.05),but there was no significant difference in the level of VEGF(P0.05).The levels of TSGF.MMP-2 and MMP-9 were similar between the hysteromyoma and normal group(P0.05).Conclusion:Serum TSGF associated with MMP-2 and MMP-9 may work on tumor invasion and metastasis. It advance tumur angiogenesis as VEGF.and play a more im- portant role.
