An Indian research team investigated the demographic, anthropometric, clinical, and operative characteristics of different endometriosis phenotypes, including superficial peritoneal lesions, ovarian endometriosis, and deep infiltrating disease. The study specifically assessed conception rates following laparoscopic surgical intervention to determine how lesion type and severity impact fertility outcomes after treatment. The authors highlight that the prognosis for pregnancy is closely linked to the specific localization and depth of infiltration of the endometrial implants. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — specifically focusing on the clinical presentation, surgical management, and subsequent fertility prognosis associated with various disease phenotypes.
