Abstract
AIM To study the chemical constituents of anti-endometriosis active fraction from Moutan Cortex.METHODS Ethyl acetate extracts of total glucosides from Moutan Cortex in treating endometriosis were isolated and purified by using the silica gel,Sephadex LH-20 and preparative liquid chromatographic separation methods,and structurally identified by physico-chemical properties and spectral analysis.RESULTS Eight constituents were obtained from anti-endometriosis active fraction of Moutan Cortex.Their structures were identified as paeonol( 1),benzoic acid( 2),β-sitosterol( 3),2,5-dihydroxy-4-methyl acetophenone( 4),benzoylpaeoniflorin( 5),lactiflorin( 6),paeoniflorin( 7),oxypaeoniflorin( 8).CONCLUSION Compound 6 is first isolated from Moutan Cortex.
