Abstract

Based on field observations and molecular identification, Holcoglossum yui (Orchidaceae: Aeridinae) from Southern Yunnan, China, is described and illustrated as a new species. It is most similar to H. rupestre , but clearly differs from the latter by its inflorescence slightly long, callosum strong thickened with two grooves and three ridges, and erect spur. The phylogenetic placement of this new species was assessed based on morphological and molecular data.
