Abstract
In most countries in the third world, waste material management become one of the important objects, since its quantity increase day by day. One of the main components of waste materials is waste glass; since has large usage in different functions in human’s daily life. Many researchers have studied the usage of waste glass as cement replacement or sand replacement in concrete. This article deals with the usage of waste glass granular as coarse aggregate in concrete since coarse aggregate provides the larger composition of the concrete component for that purpose review has been done of the previous work to show the effect of the used waste glass granular as replacement of coarse aggregate on the fresh and mechanical properties of concrete at the same time the experimental data have been collected from previous work and statistical models have been proposed using artificial neural network (ANN), with multi-linear regression (MLR) to predict the compressive strength of concrete. Different statistical parameters have been used to assess and compare the efficiency of ANN to MLR and select the most efficient model. ANN consider as most sufficient since its R 2 value is 26.5% higher than MLR with SI value 54% lower than MLR model.
