Clinical analysis of transcervical resection of endometrium

Objective:To investigate the impact of surgery on women with transcervical resection of endometrium(TCRE) Methods:There were 102 cases of TCRE for endometrial polyp,adenomyosis,disfunction uterine bleeding (DUB) from October 2000 to November 2002. Results: The mean follow-up was (14.66±6.71)3～24 months. Among them 96 patients (94.12%) became amenorrhea or spotting,whose uterine cavity had been shortened and endometrium became thinner and fibrosis.Six patiens (5.88%) had no change with endometrium thick,polypoid proliferation or with some necrosis tissue.Conclusions: The patient who had abnormal uterine bleeding and no desire fertility should undergo endometrial resection to avoid recurrence. The prognosis will be relation to endometrium repair after TCRE and the biological behavior of abnormal uterine bleeding.
