Abstract

Abstract The entanglement among multinational geopolitical risks is crucial for understanding the complexities and interdependencies of global politics and economies and among multinational geopolitical risks (GRP) offers valuable insights into the complexities and interdependencies of global affairs. It enhances our understanding of transmission channels, systemic vulnerabilities, power dynamics, contagion effects, risk management strategies and international legal rules. geographical connections play a significant role in influencing how countries' geopolitical risks are related to each other. However, simply being geographically close is not enough to explain these relationships. Various factors like international trade, historical correlations, legal tradition and military alliances also contribute to these connections. The passage highlights that entities such as governments, institutional investors, and multinational corporations are highly concerned about the impact of geopolitical risks. To aid them in managing the effects of geopolitical events, the constructed GPR network serves as a useful point of reference.
