An Analysis of EmAb and CA125 in Blood of Patients with Endometriosis Accompanied by Infertility before and after Laparoscopy Fulguration

Objective: To observe the effect of laparoscopy fulguration (LF) for the treatment of endometriosis (EMT)combined with infertility and the relationship of EmAb with CA125 and endometriosis. Methods: 80 cases of EMT were diagnosed with laparosope and treated with fulguration. The levels of EmAb and CA125 in blood samples from the patients were detected before and after LF. The rate of pregnancy after the operation was also recorded. The results were compared with those of 60 non-EMT cases and 150 EMT cases treated with Danazol. Results: ①The value of EmAb tended to rise with the severity of EMT, with a close linear correlation between them (r2=0.785, P＜0.01 ). The same situation occurred in the CA125. ② The values of EmAb and CA125 in the EMT group were signifioantly higher than those of the non-EMT group(P0.01). ③In the groups of stage Ⅰ, stage Ⅱ and stage Ⅲ, the values of EmAb and CA125 after LF were significantly lower than those before LF. (in the groups of stage Ⅰ、Ⅱ, P＜0. 01; in the group of stage Ⅲ P＜0. 05 )④In general, the values of EmAb among each EMT group showed no significant difference (P0. 05), while there were significant differences in the value of CA125 among each EMT group (P＜0. 01 ). ⑤In all EMT groups, there were significant positive correlation between the values of EmAb and CA125(P＜0. 01 ). ⑥The rate of pregnancy in the LF group was 51. 25 % (41/80), compared to 57. 33 % (86/ 150 ) in the Danazol group. There was no significant difference between them(P＜0. 05 ). Conclusion: Laparoscopy is reliable in the diagnosis and treatment of EMT. It can effectively increase the rate of pregnancy. Infertility caused by EMT is closely related to autoimmunity and EmAh and CA125 may play important roles.
