Abstract

In multidisciplinary oncology team meetings, we analyze the temporal structure of speech turn durations using two burstiness metrics. Results show predominantly bursty communication, with more complex cases exhibiting higher burstiness. Findings suggest that burstiness is associated with case processing time over time, with possible implications for understanding medical decision-making and team coordination.
