Abstract

When designing and operating wind turbine parks, risks to people and the environment aris-ing from the operation of wind turbines should be identified and assessed. This paper presents one aspect of such risks – possible negative impacts of existing or planned wind turbine parks on the living conditions and activities of people near these parks. To assess and analyze relevant impacts, this paper uses the intuitionistic fuzzy method IF-DEMATEL. The choice of this method is associated with an extremely high degree of uncertainty of the initial information. In such cir-cumstances, it is more convenient for experts to express their subjective assessments in the form of linguistic terms. Then these linguistic terms are transformed into the form of triangular intui-tionistic fuzzy numbers (TINFs). These numbers form a set of initial data for using the IF-DEMATEL method.
