Abstract

Objective:To investigate the MRI features and the diagnostic value of special-site ectopic pregnancy. Methods:The retrospective analysis was performed on 12 cases with the MRI features of special-site ectopic pregnancy proved by operation and pathology were included. All cases were scanned by MRI and 5 cases enhanced scanning were done. Results:In 12 cases,5 cases of uterine scar pregnancy were lower in the original scars of the uterine;3 cases were cornual pregnancy(1 case in left side,2 cases in right side);2 cases were in interstitial tubal pregnancy(1 case in left side,1 case in right side);1 case was in left ovary and 1 case was intramural pregnancy.4 cases of adenomyosis and one endometriosis were accompanied in the group. The lesions showed on MRI were consistent with the surgical site. The lesions were showed round or oval. The boundary was still clear.Images showed homogeneous hyperintensity in T1WI,T2WI and STIR sequences. The lesions were enhanced significantly, the necrotic area was not enhanced. Conclusion:The MRI features of different ectopic pregnancy were similarity and characteristic,it has important value of the early clinical diagnosis and treatment.
