Abstract

Histological and histochemical (glycogen DNA) investigations of the mucus membrane of the cervical canal were carried out before and in the time course of treatment with bisecurin. The data obtained are indicative of a great incidence of concomitant pathological processes accompanying internal endometriosis in the cervical canal. In spite of a clinically favorable effect with respect to the symptoms of internal endometriosis of the uterus in a number of cases alterations of the mucus membrane of the cervical canal are not only preserved but they progress relapse and develop anew with long-term use of bisecurin.
