Effect of gestrinone combined with menotrophin on sex hormones and pregnancy rate of patients with endometriosis

Objective: To explore the effect of gestrinone combined with menotrophin on sex hormones and pregnancy rate of patients with endometriosis. Methods: Ninety- two patients with endometriosis were selected as study objects,then the patients were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table,46 patients in each group; the patients in control group were treated with gestrinone,while the patients in observation group were treated with gestrinone combined with menotrophin,the course of treatment continued for six months; the patients in the two groups were followed up for one year; sex hormones levels and pregnancy rates in the two groups were observed. Results: The total remission rates in observation group and control group were 91. 30% and 71. 74%,respectively,there was statistically significant difference between the two groups( P 0. 05). The levels of progestogen,estradiol,follicle stimulating hormone( FSH) and luteinizing hormone( LH) at 3,6 and 12 months after treatment in observation group were statistically significantly lower than those before treatment in observation group and control group( P 0. 05). The one- year pregnancy rate in observation group was69. 56%,which was statistically significantly higher than that in control group( 46. 48%)( P 0. 05),the recurrence rate in observation group was statistically significantly lower than that in control group( P 0. 05),there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence rate of adverse reactions between the two groups( P 0. 05). Conclusion: Gestrinone combined with menotrophin can effectively improve sex hormones levels and raise pregnancy rate of patients with endometriosis,the recurrence rate and incidence rate of complications are low,the method is safe and effective,which is worth to be applied in clinic.
