Abstract
Abstract Rapid growth of a left atrial myxoma was demonstrated in a patient who showed no echocardiographic evidence of the tumour when she was admitted for an atrial fibrillation catheter ablation. Eighteen months later, she presented with temporary visual disturbance, and transthoracic echocardiography showed a 35 x 25 x 20 mm left atrial myxoma. This was excised en-bloc and the histopathology confirmed the diagnosis of benign myxoma.
