Application of Hysterosalpingography in Diagnosis of Female Infertility

Purpose:To study the value of hysterosalpingography in diagnosis of female infertility. Methods:Two hundred and nineteen hysteroscopy-laparoscopy or pathobiology proved cases of female infertility were enrolled in this study.All patients had undergone hysterosalpingography,the imaging features were analyzed retrospectively.Results:Uterine abnormalities were identified in 113 cases (51.60%),including uterine hypoplasia,uterine cavity adhesion,polyps,intramural and submucosal fibroids, adenomyosis,et al.Abnormalities of fallopian tubes were seen in 101 cases(46.12%) and female genital tuberculosis(FGTB) in 5 cases(2.28%).Conclusion:HSG is an effective technique in diagnosing and treating female infertility.
