Value of color doppler ultrasonography in the diagnosis of uterine fibroids and adenomyosis

Abstract

Objective To investigate clinical value of color doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis of uterine fibroids and adenomyosis.Methods From January 2009 to January 2013 in our hospital pathological diagnosis of 30 patients with uterine fibroids and 28 patients with adenomyosis were analyzed retrospectively.Changes in the two groups were com pared sonographic and uterine hemodynamic parameters.Results The fibroids groups RI values(0.67±0.02) was significantly lower than the adenomyosis group(0.72 ±0.09),fibroids group PI values(1.53 ±0.28) was significantly higher than that of adenomyosis group(1.25±0.32),the difference between groups was significant(P 0.05).And both diseases PS and ED groups were compared,the difference was not significant(P 0.05).Conclusion Ultrasound has an important role in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of uterine fibroids and adenomyosis.
