Abstract

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to establish a computer model of multimode nonlinear pulse propagation and study the nonlinear effect of multimode fiber. Methods: We used a hybrid approach including a comparative method based on literature cases and quantitative analysis. MATLAB was chosen as the computer software when we wrote the code. Results: By adding plmn four kinds of Gaussian waveform light sources and changing different amplitudes. The mathematical model established by us is substituted for calculation and statistics, and the curve characteristics in time domain and frequency domain of multimode fiber nonlinear propagation are obtained. Conclusion: This study establish a computer model of multimode nonlinear pulse propagation and further confirms that multimode fiber can adapt to more light sources to transmit higher power.
