Abstract

A case of endometriosis of the ileocecum with the chief complaint or right hypogastric pain is reported together with a review of literature.It is frequently difficult to differentiate endometriosis of the ileocecum, a comparatively rate disease, from diseases such as colorectal cancer in preoperative examination or even during operation. In female patients of conceivable age who are primarily suspected as having a tumorous lesion in the intestine, the possibility of this disease should be taken into censideration to avoid excessive surgical stress on the patient.
