Abstract
The whole world is fighting against COVID- 19. As the virus spreads primarily from person to person, it is important to reduce the risk of spreading by ensuring several preventive measures. Even though the government has put forward many rules and regulations such as wearing masks, keeping social distance, using hand sanitizers etc, these are not followed properly. In public places such as shopping malls, institutions etc, there is a need to monitor whether all are properly following the COVID-19 protocols and to restrict the risk persons. The technologies can be used in an efficient manner to fight against this pandemic. This paper focuses on an IoT based solution aiming to ensure the safety of the people and to prevent the spreading of deadly viruses to a certain extent. The objective is to provide an efficient automatic contactless entry control system that ensures the safety of the people who enters into any public institution by ensuring certain aspects like masked face detection and recognition, contactless temperature sensing, sanitization, and limiting the number of people inside at an instant as per the COVID-19 protocols. The proposed system achieved a mean average accuracy of 97%.
