Review of the pathogenesis and the drug treatment of hysteromyoma

Hysteromyoma is the most common benign tumor of femal reproductive system with a high incidence.Hysteromyoma has been proved to be estrogen-dependent tumor through the studies on the pathogenesis.Its incidence is related to the level of hormones,the related growth factors,protein expression and so on.The hormonal regulation agents including gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists,androgens,mifepristone,danazol and tamoxifen and the dialectical treatment of the Traditional Chinese Medicine have been used for the drug treatment of hysteromyoma.
