Abstract
Abstract In this paper, we investigate the non-degeneracyof a Lienard equation with a linear difference operator bymeans of the generalized Wirtinger inequality. In addition, by thenon-degenerate results and an extension of Mawhin's continuationtheorem, the existence and uniqueness of periodic solutions for a Li\'{e}nard equation with a linear differenceoperator are proved.
